Who can take part?
Anyone. The Core Direction app is free, and anyone can join the four challenges and climb the boards. The prize draws are for Wio Personal customers who have redeemed their thirty days of Core Premium with a Wio Mastercard.
I am not a Wio Personal customer. Can I still be in the draw?
Open a Wio Personal account first, then redeem Core Premium with your Wio Mastercard inside the Core Direction app. Opening an account takes minutes and the link is on this page.
Do I need a smartwatch?
No. The phone in your pocket counts every step. If you have a Garmin, Apple Watch, Fitbit, Samsung, WHOOP or Huawei device, connect it and the app uses that instead. Core Direction is an Official Garmin Connect Developer Program partner, and covers roughly 95% of the wearable market.
How do the draws work?
Every winner is drawn at random. On the three sprints, reach the step threshold and you are in. On the 30 day board, 500,000 steps puts you in the grand prize draw, and finishing in the top 1,600 puts you into one of three further draws. Nobody wins by being first on the board, and nobody is out of the running on day one.
What is Core Premium, and why does redeeming it matter?
Core Premium is the paid tier of the Core Direction app: the AI Core Coach, AI Personal Trainer and AI Body Scan. Every Wio Personal customer who joins gets thirty days of it free. Redeeming it with your Wio Mastercard is also how we know you hold one, which is what makes you eligible for the draws.
When do the challenges run?
Thirty days, from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 29 November 2026. The three sprints run back to back inside that window: 31 October to 9 November, 10 to 19 November and 20 to 29 November.
Is this the official Dubai Fitness Challenge?
No. The Dubai Fitness Challenge and Dubai 30x30 are organised by Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism with Dubai Sports Council. These are Core Direction's own public challenges, backed by Wio Personal, running in the same thirty day window. You can take part in both.
What happens to my data?
You create your own profile and grant your own permissions on your own device. When you join the Wio Personal community you agree to a single named statement first, and Wio receives your name, mobile number, email address and your activity in these challenges only. Nothing from before the campaign, nothing from any other community, and no financial data. You can leave at any time.
